Proline Plus™ 500 Product Information
Proline Plus™ 500 is a light-density, open-cell, spray-applied, semi-rigid polyurethane foam insulation for use in residential, commercial, industrial and institutional structures. Sprayed in place as a liquid, a chemical reaction causes expansion to yield high-quality foam insulation.
Proline Plus™ 500 is formulated with 20% recycled materials and is recognized by NRC (National Research Council of Canada) under CCMC (Canadian Construction Materials Centre) report #13243-R.
Application of Proline Plus™ 500 may be performed only by Trained Professionals adhering to the Urethane Foam Consultants (UFC) Field Quality Assurance Program. Proline Plus™ 500 can be sprayed into walls, ceilings, floors, attics and crawl spaces. Excess insulation can be trimmed within seconds of spraying, allowing drywall and/or finishing surfaces to be installed as soon as the application is complete. Proline Plus™ 500 can also be used for pour-in-place foam applications.
Proline Plus™ 500 is intended for use in residential, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. It seals cavities, reduces heat migration and reduces energy consumption.
Proline Plus™ 500 is designed for use within the building envelope, above or below grade, between wood or steel framing members. This product should not remain exposed to the elements, or to running or standing water.

- Maintain storage temperature between 18–30º C (65–86º F).
- Do not heat above 60º C (140º F).
- Do not allow to freeze.
Containers & Storage
Proline Plus™ 500 is supplied in “material sets” consisting of two liquid components contained in 55-US-gallon drums. Component A, isocyanate, is in red drums. Component B, resin, is in white drums.
Components should be stored in a well-ventilated area, maintained between 18–30º C (65–86º F). Do not allow components to freeze. Do not heat components above 60º C (140º F).
For best results, Proline Plus™ 500 should be sprayed using 1000–1200 psi fluid pressure with materials heated to 54–60º C (130–140º F). Component B (white drum) should be well mixed prior to and during application.
Trained Professionals spraying Proline Plus™ 500 can achieve yields between 42.5–51.9m3 (18–22,000 bd ft) of high-quality foam per material set.
Safe for Electrical Wiring
Proline Plus™ 500 can be applied over 14/3 and 12/2 wiring without affecting wire coverings.
Safe for Plumbing
Proline Plus™ 500 is safe for PVC (polyvinyl chloride), ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PEX (cross-linked polyethylene), copper and steel piping systems.
Use Caution Near Heat-emitting Sources
Insulation must be kept away from heat-emitting devices, such as recessed light fixtures and chimneys, at the minimum distance required by building regulations and safety codes. Gap should never be less than 75mm (3”).
Does Not Support Bacteria or Fungi
Proline Plus™ 500 is not a source of nutrients or sustenance for bacteria or fungi. Air sealing provided by Proline Plus™ 500 prevents infiltration of moisture, nutrients and spores.
Does Not Support Insects, Rodents or Other Pests
Proline Plus™ 500 is not a source of food for insects, rodents or other pests.
Environmental Health & Safety
Proline Plus™ 500 is a water-blown product which is free of CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons), HFCs (hydro fluorocarbons) and HCFCs (hydro chlorofluorocarbons).
The Saskatchewan Research Council has tested Proline Plus™ 500 for VOCs (volatile organic compounds) off gassing and recommended extremely sensitive individuals delay occupancy for one day.
